Google has introduced Nano Banana 2, the latest version of its AI-powered image editing model, promising faster performance and improved realism. In tests involving background changes—such as placing a family photo on a football stadium field—the Pro version produced more detailed results, including clearer text elements like stadium names.

For style transformations, such as converting images into Pointillism-style artwork, both models performed similarly. The Pro version showed slightly finer detail upon closer inspection, but the difference was minimal in standard viewing.

AI image tools have rapidly advanced in recent years, and Nano Banana remains one of the leading models for photorealistic editing. Its ability to generate natural-looking images and maintain readable text has helped it stand out in a competitive market of AI creative tools.
