Lenovo has introduced its latest innovation in laptop design with the ThinkBook Auto Twist AI PC, featuring a motorized hinge that can rotate 360 degrees and lay flat for tablet mode. This new concept laptop allows for voice-controlled operation and even follows the user’s movements to adjust its screen positioning automatically. Designed with presentations in mind, the laptop can close its lid when the user walks away, adding an extra layer of security.
Though Lenovo has previously explored flexible hinges in its Yoga series, this motorized design offers a modern twist enhanced by basic AI functionalities powered by an NPU (Neural Processing Unit), thus earning it the label of an "AI PC."
Alongside the ThinkBook Auto Twist, Lenovo also announced the Aura Edition series of laptops. This cross-line series starts with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 and the Yoga Slim 7i, which come with "Smart" software that extends or customizes Windows features, such as enhanced focus modes and streamlined device sharing. The Aura Edition laptops, powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200V series processors, offer a refined user experience with improved collaboration tools and attention management features.
The ThinkPad Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is expected to be available in November, starting at $1,999, while the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition will ship this month, starting at $1,299.
