Adobe is making it easier than ever to create AI-powered visuals on the go. The company has officially launched Firefly AI mobile apps for iOS and Android devices, offering users the ability to generate AI images and videos directly from their smartphones.
The Firefly mobile apps are free to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users can explore text-to-image, text-to-video, image-to-video, generative fill, and generative expand features right from their phones. While not all desktop features are available yet, the core tools are live and ready to use.
Adobe provides 12 free Firefly credits (10 for images and 2 for videos) to help users try out the platform. For more extensive use, Firefly plans start at $10/month for 2,000 credits.
In a major update, Adobe is now offering six new third-party AI models from leading platforms like Google, Runway, Ideogram, Pika, and Luma. This includes Google’s Veo 3 video generator with synchronized AI audio and the Imagen 4 text-to-image model.
Here’s the latest list of AI models now available through Adobe:
Image Models:
Adobe Firefly Image 3, Image 4, Image Ultra
Flux 1.1 Pro, Flux 1 Kontext
Google’s Imagen 3 and Imagen 4
OpenAI’s image model
Ideogram 3 (New)
Runway’s Gen-4 Image (New)
Video Models:
Adobe Firefly Video
Google Veo 2 and Veo 3 (New)
Luma AI Ray 2 (New)
Pika’s text-to-video generator (New)
A key highlight is Adobe’s strict AI ethics policy—all third-party models must comply with Adobe’s rule against training on customer data, offering added security and peace of mind for creators.
Adobe has also officially launched Firefly Boards, a collaborative moodboarding tool that was in beta since April. Firefly Boards allow users to:
Brainstorm with an infinite canvas
Create with both Adobe and third-party AI models
Arrange and visualize files quickly with a one-click organize feature
Seamlessly sync files with Photoshop and other Adobe apps in real-time
This tool is designed to help teams plan visual content and campaigns with ease, all while maintaining smooth collaboration across devices.
Adobe’s latest Firefly AI updates mark a significant step toward mobile, flexible, and ethical AI creativity. With powerful integrations and cross-platform functionality, Adobe is setting the stage for the next era of content creation.
